FAQ

We are so awkward in front of a camera! Can you help?

I believe in making you as comfortable as possible! I get to know you through emails and questionnaires, so I know your preferences and we can create a session that truly represents you with location or activity choices! I love getting to know you in person as well, grabbing a drink or snack ahead of our session lets you relax and so that when the camera comes up, you are already at ease with me. The more comfortable you are, the more authentic you are able to be, that is what I aim to capture!

I don't like putting a limit on the number of photos I give back for a typical session, it is usually an average of 55 per hour. I don't believe in giving you a certain amount and then making you pay more for the rest. I deliver ALL the best photos from your session!

How many images will I get back?

Will you change my body in edited photos?

I do not alter bodies, BUT if there is a noticeable stress pimple (we all get em), I got you covered!

Are all your photos edited?

Yup. Every single delivered image has been edited. Color, crop, exposure and all alterations will be exactly as I intend them to be.

What do we get in our online gallery?

Fully edited, and downloadable high resolution jpeg images and animations in gif format. You also get access to a high quality print shop, so you can get your favorite images printed for your home. This is not a requirement, just an option that I offer.

How do I book you?

  • WEDDINGS: Go through my contact form! Then we’ll schedule a call to go over wedding details and make sure we are a good fit. Once we’ve customized your package to your ideal coverage, I’ll send you an electronic contract to sign. Followed by a retainer fee of 30%, with the remaining 70% is due 30 days before your date!
  • SESSIONS: Go through my contact form! We will chat and make sure we can make your ideal session happens. Portraits, family, couples, seniors, events, I got you covered!
  • What payments do you accept?

There is a payment system set up when you complete the contract, but if you would prefer to pay in cash or check we can definitely accommodate that. (Not quite to the point of dogecoin, but we shall see)

When can we expect our finished gallery?

  • WEDDINGS: It usually takes me about 4-6 weeks to finish editing a full day wedding album. I know that seems like a while to wait, but I editing each image in your gallery is well worth the wait, I promise! I usually finish a preview (15-30 images) about 24-48 hours after your day. I take every deadline extremely seriously (I’ve never missed one!).
  • PORTRAITS: It usually takes an average of three weeks to finish them, but I can send previews from portrait sessions as well.
  • Can we print our photos?

Well, I should hope so! Your memories belong on the wall, or in an album on your coffee/cocktail table. You don't want them trapped behind your computer screen. You will be supplied with all the best high resolution images from your day for you to print and share as you wish. I also offer beautiful, fine art prints and albums that have greater color accuracy and paper quality than high street printers through my online gallery.

    WEDDING FAQ

Should we do an engagement session?

This is another decision that is completely up to you two... BUTTT it is in my FAQ, so here is my opinion. Engagement sessions are a great way for us all to get comfortable with each other before your big day. We create a customized session that truly represents your relationship. The wedding is about celebrating your next step, this is about documenting all the moments & activities that got you there & made you realize this was your forever person.

I think it is incredibly important to have your day truly documented, on average you will get back an average of 55 images per hour.

How many images will I get back for an all day package?

YES! I firmly believe in back ups on back ups. I have an associate photographer that is fully capable of shooting your wedding in case of any emergency.

Any kind of backup if you cant shoot our wedding?

I shoot with two cameras (I can shoot an entire wedding day with one camera) and they have two SD card slots, every photo saved twice. As soon as the event is finished I load them to my computer then to my multiple hard drives & online storage! So your images are in at least three different locations until they are edited and send safely to YOU! I even bring backup clothes just to be safe, just encase y'all get too low on the dance floor.

Do you back up our images? How can we ensure that our images won’t be lost?

We’re very busy and won’t be able to meet. Are there any other options?

I would love to meet with you prior to your engagement shoot or wedding; however, if you’re too busy or too far away, we can handle everything remotely through video calls. The more comfortable you are with me, the more relaxed you can be on your day.

    PORTRIAT FAQ

    SCROLL FOR MORE

    FAQ

Absolutely! Many of our portrait clients choose to do their photo session in a studio and on location.

Can we do the session both in a studio and on location?

Do you accept last minute portrait sessions

As often as I can! I can not guarantee that I am available, but I will always do my best to get you in as soon as possible. The further out you book, the more planning we can do to make sure you have a truly customized session.

Is there a time limit on sessions?

NOPE! I just need to know how much time to dedicate to you on the day of your photo session but we can discuss time options via zoom or coffee. Another great reason to have a chat before so that we can plan your perfect session. The average portrait session takes about one to two hours, this does depend on your location or locations, but it also helps because it usually takes a little time for you to warm up to having a camera pointed at you.
